Nike is known for its innovations and crazy ideas, which sometimes converge in a unique product. In 1982, the Oregon-based brand wanted to bring sporty advances to other areas and created Air-Leisure, a casual collection consisting of five models with soles inspired by Bill Bowerman's Waffle, called Octowaffle, and an innovative full Air unit with an upper in the style of classic moccasins.
Nike Be-Do-Win, formal and eco-friendy
Diving into its old archives, Nike brings back an unknown silhouette updated with a casual style.

As a product, those Bedouin and Vagabond from the Air-Leisure line were very interesting, but went somehow unnoticed by a clientele looking for something more impactful. However, the idea remained in the heads of many creators and designers... They indeed resurrected later their style in nautical footwear, introduced Nike technology into Cole Haan brand shoes, and launched limited editions such as the HTM Octopus (by Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Parker and Mark Parker) or the Wingtip in collaboration with Tom Sachs..
The Bedouin returns four decades later and adapts to the new times, with the same style, much more color and with the name BE-DO-WIN, which refers to the following slogan:
"BE conscious of climate change,
DO take action against climate change, and
WIN the battle to prevent climate change."

And not only its name, but also the synthetic upper, the cork insole and the midsole made from fragments invite you to be part of something much bigger.
