MCQ launches the follow up to Genesis II with the second icon of the first cycle continuing the label’s initiative in creating unique products that elevate the voices of the collaborators at the helm of each icon.
MCQ: ICON 2 - ARCADE
Arcade, the second icon in MCQ’s revamped universe, has arrived with a collection of retro-futurism pieces.
Just like Icon 1 - Genesis II before it, Icon 2 - Arcade gives the spotlight to another set of talented creatives from across the world. Returning for this icon are the Pantone Colour Institute, Everledger, Terrain, plus British director Duncan Loudon and Brighton-based photographer Ewen Spencer. Fresh faces on the scene include, Shanghai-based filmmaker and visual artist Yuen Hsieh, British stylist Harry Lambert, Malaysian-born DJ and record label owner Tzusing, British DJs and producers MM and Suda of Async Figure, and the best spot for underground house and techno in China Tag Club.
A phenomenal line up of film, fashion and music experts combining their vision to deliver a collection of reimagined rave silhouettes.
ARCADE: RETRO-FUTURISM
Arcade is rave culture reinterpreted without a focus on nostalgia, an array of classic rave silhouettes reimaged through the use of technically advanced fabrics and hypergraphics.
A retro-futurist collection full of elevated basics that draw on the energy of rave culture and fashion, while incorporating functional and expressive design elements.
