adidas and Wales Bonner, the eponymous label of British designer Grace Wales Bonner, have teamed up once again for FW23 with a new collection that delves into the adidas archives and offers a fresh take on the German brand's most iconic pieces. Bonner takes us on a journey through the '70s and '90s with a neutral palette and athletic influences, as she continues to explore her European heritage, infused with an Afro-Atlantic background.

An adidas legend on the streets and fields, the archival Samba is reimagined in a tonal construction that blends pony hair with a rich leather upper, completed with a rubber outsole. The design features the German brand's signature triple stripe on the sides and fold-over tongue in granate, contrasting with the off-white tone of the football silhouette. The refined sneaker is finished off with intricate hand stitching details and a co-branded logo label on the tongue.
