SVD Presents: Yardsale, skate style from London

The latest addition to the SVD catalog is all about skateboarding. It comes from the UK, but there's no telling how far it can go.

Over the last decade, the UK has been gaining ground as the birthplace of new skate brands. Yardsale emerged as a new concept that evolved from two stylistic movements: that of California and its proximity to surfing, and the trend-setting South-East London one.

Yardsale originated in 2012 as the dream of skateboarder and filmmaker Daniel Kreitem, who skillfully uses his videos to present new collections and showcase his globetrotting lifestyle.

The first video, called LDN-LAX as it was shot between London and Los Angeles, meant to showcase the then new brand with 80s and 90s details and an omnipresent logo. A new way of designing—and skating—in which local references were, and still are, accessible to all.

Pioneer of a style in which Rassvet or Palace have achieved great recognition, Yardsale has remained a subcultural reference.

Yardsale's new Fall-Winter 2021 collection is the first to drop at SVD.
